Salinity

Similar to temperature there is not a great deal of knowledge on the salinity effects on cold-water corals, this is an area that is key in understanding the habitat conditions and what will/might affect them in the future. Stromgren (1971) puts forward a salinity range for the scleractinian L.pertusa, it proposes that they can withstand salinities between 32 – 38psu.
